Cream 0.025%, 0.075%

Prescribers should refrain from supplying unlicensed preparations of capsaicin cream. Where prescribers intended to use capsaicin cream for neuropathic pain, please refer to the LSCMMG neuropathic pain guidelines. For osteoarthritis, patients should be advised to consider self-care/OTC treatments.

Capsaicin cream is currently unavailable and this is likely to be the case until June 2026.
