Some anti-infectives require approval from the local Trust microbiology team for use, consult local guidance for further information.Not all anti-infectives listed in this chapter will be available in all localities; availability will be guided by local need and resistance patterns. |

Tablets 50mg, 100mg For treatment of infection, on advice of microbiology only. When used for long term conditions, patients receiving dapsone require monitoring. If dapsone is prescribed for the prophylaxis of Pneumocystis jirovecii (Pneumocystis carinii) pneumonia, prescribers should refer to the principles of the LSCMMG Shared Care Protocol if requesting that GPs continue prescribing long term. |
